    Jeff -

I am leading my first PhotoWalk on July 18, and I have a “protocol” question. One of the walk participants asked to see a list of other people who had signed up for the walk. Since I am sure all of the people are local, my guess is that he want to see if he knows anyone else who is going to be there. However, I don’t think people who signed up would appreciate having there name given out to a group of strangers. Any advice on handling this, or am I making too big a deal out of the request.

Thank for you time, your blog, and your advice to PhotoWalk leaders.

    Best, Linda Quinn

The world wide photo walk will be my first photowalk and as the leader this will be an interesting experience I am sure. I just read your suggestions on the leader page. Very good ideas. This last weekend my sister visited from out of town and she also enjoys photography so I suggested that we walk the route I have planned so we could get a feel for it and she could tell me any suggestions she had.

What I found out was that since we are in a small town with some older historic buildings that are either vacant or used differently now, she kept asking about some of the buildings as we walked. I’ve lived in the area for only 7 years so I wasn’t really aware of the past history of the buildings. I picked up a book this week with some information about the downtown area. I don’t want to turn it into a guided tour, but I thought as the walk leader it would be an advantage if someone says “Hey what did this used to be?’ I could reply “Its the old train station” etc. I thought it might enhance the experience. I just wanted to pass the tip along.

Thanks for your advice. I really enjoy your site and the photos you share. Melynda

    Jeff,
I just signed up for your photowalk in Eureka Springs. I can not find the dates for that walk. Can you please message me the date for that walk.
    Thank you

  6. An Answer to Linda Quinn…
I had that question and not knowing whar to do with the rights and peoples right to remain anonymous… I sent an e-mail to my participants asking who wanted they name revealed on the web page of the walk… and received about 20 reply and posted them on the page…. as you can see here: http://worldwidephotowalk.com/montreal-est-qc-ca/

Thanks to Jeff for bringing that idea so far…. I still remember Photowalking in Orlando with you….

me wanteth photowalketh here in San Luis Obispo. I am bored walkin around by myself….. kinda lonely actually. Just me, and my 50 D and my 30 vintage Kodaks, Anscos, Argus’, Duaflex, Brownies yeah. im getting into TTV – you gunna do anything bout TTV or is that not a big enuff challenge? Trust me, its a big enough challenge for me to get out of my house remembering my gear. My 400$ think tank isn’t big enough to carry all my crap. Thats not too convenient for a photowalk, thats more like a photomove in. I cant EVER decide what to take, so i usually take my 85, the 50, the 100, and the 70-200 L. It gets heavy. Plus the lens babie gang o’ gear, plus a couple of TTV cams. I have gear acquisition syndrome and have no money left for gifts for friends and family. I guess I thought I was my friend and family this year based on all the junk I bought…*sigh* I need to get out from behind the internet and the photo editing and shoot more. PERIOD! Anyone in San Luis Obispo who wants a gear addicted foto-friend? Peace! Love your blog dood!
