Wow. It’s hard to believe that this is going to be the fifth year for the Scott Kelby World Wide Photowalk and I am happy to say that I will once again be acting as walk leader for one of the thousands of photowalks to take place across the globe on October 13th. This year I have decided to stay a little closer to home. After four years of leading photowalks in Washington DC and Old Town Alexandria I will be leading this year’s walk in my own community, Manassas, VA. I won’t lie when I tell you that it will be nice not having to leave my house several hours early on the day of the walk so that I can be sure to be there on time. This time I will take the short drive to Old Town Manassas and rally the walkers at the Amtrak train station. From there we will wander our way through some of the historic streets and capture some architecture and history. With any luck, we will have great weather, which will also give us the opportunity to grab some shots in the farmer’s market before wrapping up at the pavilion and grabbing some lunch at Foster’s Grill.
Please visit my official photowalk site to join up for my walk or click to the main WWP page to find a walk near you. There are already plenty of photowalks listed because the leaders from last year received the opportunity to sign up early and lead again. You can also apply to lead your own walk by clicking the Lead a Walk link.
