I was catching up with my buddy Jeff Leimbach at Photoshop World and he started telling me all about his new gig with The Digital Photo Workshops. If you have been to a Kelby training seminar sometime in the past 7 years you have more than likely seen Jeff. He was THE MAN when it came to putting on the seminars and he could always be found adjusting the lights, fixing mics, and doing instructor intros. It was a busy gig and after 70 seminars, Jeff decided to let someone else handle things so he could jump back into photography on a more consistent basis. Jeff is also a very talented graphic designer and has been doing freelance design work for the past 15+ years.
Jeff’s new gig is allowing him to work with some pretty amazing talent in the photography world. The Digital Photo Workshops are a series of 4-day workshops where you get to go to some of the most amazing and picturesque locations in the states and learn from the likes of Ben Wilmore, Joe McNally, Rick Sammon, and Dave Black. These are the heavy hitters gang. They aren’t just great photographers, they are amazing instructors! The next seminar date is April 19-22 with Dave Black in Moab, Utah. Not only will you learn some very cool techniques for taking great landscape images, I am betting that Dave will share his techniques for Light Painting after the sun goes down. If you haven’t seen light painting before, check out his Creative Lighting Portfolio.
If you are interested in joining in on the fun, check out the Digital Photo Workshops website and get yourself registered before the slots are all gone. Also, check out the schedule of upcoming seminar events for the rest of the year. I know I have my eye on a couple of dates.
