A few recommendations for your web browsing this week:
Sport shooting tips from Robert Hanshiro -
I was browsing around the SportsShooter.com website the other day when I came across a presentation from USA Today photographer, Robert Hanashiro. The video is broken into 8 different segments and there are a lot of great tips and tricks for all you wannabe sports shooters out there. You can check out the videos here.
Focus on Great Photography –
I have a really great website for anyone that is interested in great landscape photography. Singh-Ray, makers of some fantastic filters, has a blog that showcases different photographers and their work. One thing I love about it is that each post is just as instructional as it is informative. Sure, all the photographers are using Singh-Ray filters but you could apply the techniques to almost any filter from any manufacturer. To check out the great images, follow this link.
Jezebel’s Photoshop Hall of Shame -
Jezebel has compiled some of the year’s worst photoshop disasters. These are some pretty sad and sometime scary examples. Sadder still is the fact that someone thought they were good enough to publish. Check it out here.
What’d You Get? -
My buddy Terry White from Terry’s Tech Blog posted his annual “So what’d you get?” blog post. Every year Terry invites his readers to share some of the cool photo gear and tech goodies that they received on Christmas. Be sure to drop by his blog (click here) and share your favorite Christmas goodies. And if you happened to get and iSomething (iPad, iPhone, iPod) be sure to check out Terry’s Must Have Apps list over at his BestAppSite.
Let it Snow… In Time-Lapse -
I was watching the news on Monday night and they showed this cool time-lapse video taken during the recent blizzard in New Jersey. Thanks to Photographer Michael Black for setting this up. Hopefully he had already made his mandatory milk, bread, toilet paper run before things got started.
