Over the past three years, FotoWeek DC has skyrocketed as one of the world’s premier photography festivals. Tens of thousands of fans have come to expect the unexpected: colossal photo projections on the walls of the city’s famed architecture…all-night photo experiences…evocative exhibitions of award-winning images…lectures and workshops by internationally renowned photographers.
The week kicks off tonight with a launch party at the Corcoran Gallery of Art at 500 17th St. NW at 8:00 PM. Things really get going from there. All week long there will be exhibits all over the city including the National Geographic Museum, the Embassy of Sweden, the Arlington Artisphere, the Embassy of Argentina, Photoworks, the National Gallery of Art, and many more.
There will also be workshops, lectures, portfolio reviews, and so much more. There is something for anyone and everyone. The list is just to long for me to cover it all but thankfully I don’t have to. There is a complete list of all activities including maps, times, and other information all available at the FotoWeek DC 2010 website. You can also follow all of the activities and get up to the date information on Facebook and Twitter.
