I got home yesterday afternoon to find a large box waiting for me. The sheer weight of it let me know that it was full of books. But not just any books. It was my case of Snapshots to Great Shots – Nikon D3000 books. This is my little present from the printers and it’s also my clue that the latest installment in the Snapshots series is about to hit a vendor near you. I checked over at Barnes & Noble and Amazon and they both have them listed as still being in pre-order status but it shouldn’t be much longer until they are ready to ship.
Look to the Skies -
My buddy Mike has finally taken the blogging plunge and set up shop over at Mike Meyer Photo Pro. Mike has been pointing his camera at the skies for a really long time and has some fantastic shots ranging from clouds, lightning, and sunsets. Many of his images are good old silver based images that Mike has been working scanning for the past couple of years. If you get a chance, stop by and say hi, and ask him if there will be pie, he’ll know what it means.
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII Review -
My buddy Terry White was wanting a new Nikon 70-200 for some time but was having a hard time justifying the price bump (it currently lists for about $2225). He finally worked out a deal and got his hands on one and has posted a review. If you have been thinking about getting one, check out Terry’s post to get his take on whether it’s worth the money.
Let the CS5 Webinars Continue -
My buddy Scott Kelby is back from his 16 jaunt across the China coast so now it’s time to dive back into the CS5 pool. This Wednesday Scott and the gang will be talking about Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended. They will also be joined by experts from Dell, NVIDIA, and Adobe as they discuss ways to take advantage of the 64bit power and hardware advantages. You can catch the live webinar tomorrow, May 12, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Head to the registration page to reserve your spot.
That’s all for today, have a great Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow.
