I’m still trying to heal emotionally from the misery I suffered yesterday at the hands of my beloved Skins so I am turning my attention to the upcoming events of this week.

Before I get to that though, check out the results from the Big Shot that happened over the weekend at the Museum of the American Indian.  I slipped a quick post in on Saturday since I didn’t find out about it until early Saturday morning.  Despite some heavy and steady rains, there were over 800 people that showed up to help the folks from RIT take their “painting with light” image of the museum.  You can see the final result, which was captured on a Nikon D3X during a 20 second exposure, by clicking here.

Photoshop World Countdown -

With my tickets purchased and my hotel and car reserved, I can start to plan for some of my activities during Photoshop World.  I get in pretty early on Wednesday so I should have time to head out to one of my favorite places near Las Vegas, the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.  I love hiking and shooting and am hopeful that I will have some decent weather for a great shoot.

Thursday begins all the Photoshop World fun with the keynote and classes, followed that evening by the After-Hours party.  I might just have to bail a little early though since I will be joining Chris Orwig, David DuChemin, and the winners of the Peachpit sponsored “Neon in Your Neighborhood” contest for an early morning shoot at the Neon Boneyard Museum.

Saturday will be my day to stand on the Peachpit stage and speak of all things photography.  In other words, I need to figure out what I am going to say during my 45 minute presentation, which starts at 10:00 AM.  Classes don’t start until 11:00 on Saturday so if you are at the Expo, be sure and drop by and give me a little moral support.

That’s it for now but I’ll have more Photoshop World updates as the week goes on so stay tuned.
