The other day I wrote about using customized picture styles/controls for getting better JPEG images from your camera.  Today I thought I would put up a poll to see just what your favorite image format is.  If you are reading this in a feed reader you will need to go to my actual blog page in order to see the poll.  Tomorrow I will post the results from some of my previous polls.

That’s all for today.  I have to get back to my T1i book so I can get it turned in by week’s end.  Don’t you just love deadlines?

I always shoot RAW, but then always convert to .dng on import to Lightroom. Ultimately, .dng is my favorite format as it holds everything a RAW will + no sidecar + smaller file size.

I’m in the market for a small point and shoot and even noticed a few new Canon items available for pre-release. One had my attention with a 20x optical zoom, but no RAW option. Too bad. Still shopping, and hoping they’ll add it in later as a firmware upgrade like they did for the SX1IS (might be SX10IS, not sure just now).

Requirements are simple. Large zoom range, IS, RAW and Exposure Bracketing. Anyone with suggestions will earn lots of good karma.
