I was working on some images yesterday and as I was eliminating a shadow in one particular shot, the thought crossed my mind to share the simple technique I was using. The clone tool is often used to eliminate unwanted items in an image but it can also be used to lighten or darken areas based on the sample source. That is what I did with this particular image. Take a look at the before and after shots below and then scroll down a little further to watch the video that explains how I got my results. I bet this is one little tip that you will definitely keep handy in your processing bag of tricks.
A quick little note about the tutorial. Although I am using Photoshop CS4 for this tutorial, the technique works in older versions of Photoshop as well.
