When I’m Wrong, I’m Really Wrong

I was reading the comments from my post earlier today and most of you that commented were quick to point out that I missed a section in ViewNX that would have solved my problems.  Apparently I was looking at the wrong section of View (the menus) for something that would say edit or image adjust or some similar hint of being able to adjust my RAW files.  Apparently that’s not where I should have been searching.  What I should have been looking for was the tab on the side that reads “Quick Adjustment”.

When I clicked the tab I found a pretty good assortment of adjustment sliders that do offer RAW processing.  Nothing close to the Capture NX2 features but certainly enough to make decent RAW adjustments.

I would like to thank all of you that were nice enough to point out the error of my ways, some nicer than others, and apologize for putting up a post that obviously required more research on my part.  I’ll try to do better in the future.

Is it Friday yet?

    Jeff,

Capture NX2, ViewNX, etc., aren’t the most intuitive though they do a good job once you know how. I’m not a big fan of those stinkin’ tabs on the side, but I do love the software. Something like that should be a button — somewhere more obvious!

Thanks for all your info :-)
