The Power of the Smart Collection

Writing my Canon book forced me to work with hundreds of images.  Luckily they were all located in Lightroom.  The problem for me was sorting through thousands of images and locating the ones that I needed.  I could have used several methods but for me, there was nothing quicker and easier than the Smart Collection.

Smart Collections allows you to set up criteria that the collection will use to automatically sort and group images into one easy collection.  The great thing about Smart Collections is that you can use any number of criteria such as flags, ratings, labels, even metadata.  I especially like the way you can use keywords so that images can be added to the collection during the import process.

Check out this short video to see how easy it is to set up a smart collection and start organizing your images today.
