I had some really great news sitting on my front porch when I got home from work last Thursday. It seems that the UPS guy had left a package there for me in a plain brown box. I quickly brought it in and opened it to find a stack of shrink-wrapped books shipped directly from the printer. Yup, that’s right, my book, Canon 50D: From Snapshots to Great Shots, is officially printed and on its way to the PeachPit warehouses for sorting and distributing to retailers. This means that if you have ordered a copy that you will hopefully be receiving it in a couple of weeks.
This was my first chance to see a printed version of the book and I have to say that it looks SWEET! I’m really pleased with the way it turned out. It’s a pretty big departure from the normal camera-specific books out there and I’m hopeful that it will become a valuable resource for Canon 50D owners. If you get the chance, check out the sample chapter available at the PeachPit website. You can pre-roder your copy from Barnes & Noble, Borders, or your favorite bookseller.
