A New Twist for the Boston Photowalk

Here’s something that I’m really excited about.  The upcoming photowalk in Boston now has an official sponsor.  That’s right, the very cool folks at BorrowLenses.com have ponied up a prize for one photographer at my Boston Photowalk.  So here’s how it will work, once the photowalk is complete, the folks who attended will upload their images to the Flickr Group I created for the event.  I will then pick one photograph as the best for that day.  The photographer that I select will win a one week free lens rental from BorrowLenses.com.  I am also working on some other prizes for 2nd and 3rd place so that we can spread the love around.

Here’s the deal with the rental prize, the contest is only open to those in the US. Lens rentals cannot be shipped in other countries.  The lucky winner will place the order online at BorrowLenses.com and they request a credit card number on file to cover the risk of a no-return. They will not charge your credit-card. BorrowLenses.com is a reputable business but if you don’t feel comfortable with this condition, just let me know and I will select another winning photo.  The prize excludes super telephoto lenses and pro camera bodies.

I will announce other prizes as soon as I work out the details.  This is the first time that I have done this for one of my photowalks although we did do something similar for Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk last year.

Many thanks to Max at BorrowLenses.com for supporting this event.  I also wanted to let you know that if you are a NAPP member you can get 5% off of your BorrowLenses order.  Check out the NAPP member discounts for more details.
