I can tell you this. at 1:30 am this morning I bought this program. my credit card went right through. now all day i have e-mailed them on their tech and cust service lines and not even a reply as to why i can not activate this program. one more day and I am going to plaster hdr max images(from the trial) on my site with a big x that says it all. I vented.

Hi Jeff,

I gave Areia's HDR MAX the full treatment here: http://www.tkrphoto.com/2009/01/areia-hdr-max-review/.

As one of the comments above states, the program produces a lot of noise. On top of that... SLOW! It runs fast if you stay zoomed out around 25% or lower. At 50% it starts to chug a bit and at 100% zoom it flat out drags.

I gave it a test drive as well. I really like the look it produces, with both single and bracketted images ... until you zoom in to 100% or higher. Very noisy! I mean bad noise. Just my two cents.

I have been evaluating different HDR options. I liked the interface of HDR Max but had real problems with alignment of images. I could not figure out how to align with a 1:1 display. If they fix that they'll give Photomatix a real challenge.

I gave HDR MAX a test run it does a good job of tone mapping but the exposure alignment adjustment needs improved.
In think photomatix is a better program for less money
