Yes, it was Hayes, and he was as nice a guy as you would ever want to meet, especially when holding your lifeless Mac in your hands, looking for someone to breathe life back into it.

That helpful Genius was my buddy Hayes! He knows more about Apple products and services than anyone I know, not to mention he is a hell of a guy. Your machine is in good hands. Small World!

I've had equally good experiences with the Genius Bar, in my case with the iPhone. I had two minor issues, and in both cases, rather than make me wait to get them repaired, they just swapped them out for new ones.

I just purchased a macbook for my daughter, and with the Genius Bars available, the Applecare purchase becomes something that makes a lot of sense.

If you use a company's services or products long enough, you'll eventually run into a problem. What separates the quality companies is how they deal with the problems.

Glad you got it fixed. I've had my Macbook for over 2 years now and didn't have any problems with it. Trouble is, you get used to not having problems and I guess, when one comes along it makes it even more scary!!
