Like many of my fellow Americans, I spent much of last night watching the election returns come in as the political pundits tried to analyze and be the first to be able to call the election.  I did however take a little time off to round up a few little tidbits for you to enjoy on this post-election Wednesday.

♦ Yesterday, I did a little write-up on my first experiences with the new Nikon D90 video capabilities.  At the end of my review I posted a little footage that I had captured over the weekend.  I am certainly not a videographer and I did absolutely no editing or post-processing of my footage so it is probably not the best example for you to judge against.  I did however find a ton of footage on the site that hosted my clip, Vimeo.  There is, in fact, an entire channel dedicated to the Nikon D90.  So if you would like to view more footage in all its HD splendor, head over to the Vimeo Nikon D90 Footage page, but use a fast connection to really get the full benefits of HD.

♦ If you are a fan of the Podcast series, The Digital Photography Show with Scott Sherman and Michael Stein, you may have been wondering why it has been so silent for so long.  Well, rumor has it that the hosts were not really pleased with their previous podcast network and have retooled the show under a new name.  Now distributed though Personal Life Media, the new show will henceforth be known as Digital Photography Life.  The new show can be listened to on the Personal Life Media site or you can subscribe to it on iTunes.  Episode 0 is up as a sort of Coming Attractions for the shows to come.  So make sure you clear some space on your iPod for Scott and Michael and their unique perspectives on digital photography.

Crash Taylor has posted yet another great interview this week with fantastic sports photographer, Christian Pondella.  Christian is the head photographer of Red Bull USA and senior photographer for Powder magazine.  As with previous interviews, this one is full of some fantastic imagery and insight into the world of one of the best extreme sports photographers of our generation.  Make sure you stop by and get your weekly dose of inspiration.  You can find the interview here.

That’s all for this historic day.
