Busy, busy, busy!  That about sums up this week.  When Scott Kelby and I first discussed the World Wide Photowalk, I never envisioned that it would require quite so much work on my end.  But through all of the confusion and rearranging and emailing, I think everything is right on track and I can finally relax and just let it happen.  For those of you that are signed up for one of my two walks, I just wanted to let you know that the Flickr groups are now up and ready for you to join.  To ensure that the group doesn’t get over-run, I will be approving everyone’s membership into the group.  There’s no images yet but I am sure it will be the home of some great shots after our photowalks.  To join your respective group just head on over to the morning or evening page and sign up.  I will approve them as soon as possible.  While you are there, feel free to take advantage of the discussion groups to start chatting it up with your fellow walkers.

* So you say you wanted to get in on the photowalk action but you are tied up on the 23rd?  Well then, try something with a little different twist to it by participating in Shawn King’s Monthly Time Shoot.  Time shooting is a world wide event that happens once each month but instead of photowalking, you just grab your camera and click away where ever you happen to be at the appointed time.  When you are done, you just upload your shots to the flickr group.  The really cool thing is that other photographers will be doing the same thing at exactly the same time as you.  This month’s time shoot is scheduled for August 9th at 3:00 PM, Eastern Time.  For all the information on this event, head on over to The Digital Camera Conference (click here).

* Finally, to wrap things up for this weekend, I wanted to give a little link love to someone who’s images inspired my interest in HDR.  Check back a couple of posts and you’ll see an amazing image of Iceland.  This was shot by Trey Ratcliff of Stuck in Customs fame.  Trey is somewhat of an HDR legend on the web and one look at his portfolio and you’ll know why.  But if you really want to get the full flavor of his work, you need to head over to his portfolio page.  It is a great looking site that really shows off his body of work.  So if you are into HDR, do yourself a favor and take a peek (click here and then click on the Portfolio link).

Well, that’s it for this week.  If your going to Great Falls or the Prince William County Fair this weekend, keep an eye out and you just might find me and my camera.  I’m going to be doing a lot of shooting this weekend for an upcoming project.  See you next week!
