…and counting until the World Wide Photowalk begins. I guess it’s actually less than that for those of you that are participating over in Asia. Speaking of Asia photowalks, make sure you check out Mike Lao‘s blog post from yesterday. Mike is leading a walk in Manila and he gave some great photowalking advice.
I am still astounded by the enormity of this event. What started as a way for Scott Kelby to promote his upcoming release of the new Lightroom 2.0 book has taken wing and spread to epic proportions. I am very excited to be a part of this great event. What’s even more exciting is the anticipation of checking out all the images on the Flickr groups. As hard as it will be for all of the photowalk leaders to pick one “best” from each walk, it will be that much harder for Scott to select the numero uno.
Speaking of Flickr groups, don’t forget that if you are officially registered for a spot, you need to go join your respective Flickr Group. For those folks that are attending mine, you can register here for the morning group, and here for the evening. As of this morning, I only have 18 members for the morning and 8 for the evening.
By the way, if you would like to participate as a photowalker, there are still a ton of cities that have not reached the 50 person cap. My buddy Don Sturgis is hosting a walk just down the road from me in Fredericksburg, VA that still has room for 30 people. His is not the only walk that has not filled up yet so go cruise the city page and see if there isn’t some location near you that still has room for you and your camera.
And for those of you that enjoyed my high-flying shots from yesterday, here’s a couple of new ones.
