Well, I didn’t get a chance to shoot any motocross this weekend (although I’m still going to try and shoot some in the near future) but that doesn’t mean I didn’t get to shoot some great motocross riders. Actually it was more like an X-Games event than motocross. The great riders from M.O.B. FMX put on a great aerial show at the County Fair which kept my eye to the eyepiece and my finger on the shutter button. My kids and I had a blast and I got some great shots of these amazing daredevils and their high-flying stunts. Couple that with some fantastic weather and you have the makings of a great weekend. Here’s a few from the shoot. I’ll post some more later this week along with some shooting info.

Particularly like how the post-processing works in the top shot. Very effective set!

    Jeff,
I want you to show me your finger-on-the-eyepiece technique Saturday morning at the Photowalk ;-) Love the first shot!

Great Captures Jeff!! I almost went to the fair this weekend, but went to Skyline DR, it was only 70 degrees up there, I use to shoot a lot of motocross when I first started shooting in the late 80′s – Use to go to Buds Creeks—– They still running there?

Mike, They still run there but they didn’t have any races going on this weekend. I want to go sometime in the near future when they are running. It would definitely be a blast.

Lets go!! Sept 7 is a pro am according to the schedule – let me know if you want to take our boys and have a day at the races, tell Meyer, I will spring for a pie! I use to get some great shots in the corners, did a fiber print mounted series of this stuff in college for my final. “A Day At The Races”
