I’m taking a day off from the book making reviews but don’t worry, I will continue the series next week. Instead, I am going to offer up some bits and pieces that I have been saving up. So give a read and and enjoy your weekend.
- NatGeo has launched a new site called National Geographic Assignment. It features images from multiple Geographic photographers and images from their various assignments. As usual, just some fantastic imagery from some great photographers. Click here to check it out.
- Sometimes the stories behind the pictures are as good as the images themselves. To get a new perspective, head on over to The Photography Channel to watch interviews with some of the best photographers of our generation. Click here to let the inspiration begin.
- It seems as though the Nikon rumor mills are spinning out of control lately. Monday saw the wild speculation tha Nikon was on the verge of announcing the new D90 but that pales in comparison with yesterday’s wildfire. Apparently there has been a leaked brochure for the new D700. Yes, Nikon is going to abandon their current numbering nomenclature and jump straight to 700. Go Figure. I’ll believe it when I see the press release on NikonUSA (which, by the way, is a pretty cool site). If you would like to check out some of the buzz, check out Wired and fredmiranda.com.
-Blog reader and Miami photographer Paulo Jordao is hosting a photowalk this weekend in the Ft. Lauderdale area this coming weekend. If you would like to join in on the fun, go check out his site for all the details. He has also set up a Flickr Group for the event that can be found here.
Well that’s about all I have for today, have a great weekend and I’ll see you with more book reviews on Monday
