Beta Testing -
I am currently involved in a Beta Test for two different products, one from Nik that I can’t discuss (non-disclosure type stuff), and the other from Adobe, the new Bridge for CS4. I can’t talk about the Bridge application either except to say that I found out about the beta test program over on John Nack’s blog. If you are interested in being a beta tester, there might still be time to get in on it. To apply, you will need to fill out the pre-release request form found here. You will also have to agree to a non-disclosure agreement and applying is no guarantee of getting on board. But hey, they let me in so who knows?
Future Photowalks (not mine) -
I have been informed of two upcoming photowalks that might be of interest to you. Trevor Carpenter of Photowalking.Org fame is going to be coming to my backyard in August and he would like to host a photowalk. Okay, actually the photowalk will take place amongst the Washington DC monuments, not my backyard. For more information, please check out his post by clicking here.
Also, Andy Smith of VisualRealia fame was present at my Georgetown photowalk. He had so much fun that he has decided to plan one for this coming fall in Gettysburg, PA. This is one that I am definitely going to try and attend. It is supposed to be a beautiful location and one that I have wanted to visit for some time. For all the details on this photowalk, be sure to head on over to Andy’s blog. You can find all the details here.
A little Inspiration -
Let’s finish off the day’s post with some great photography. I first ran across Kenneth Parker’s work when I was researching the Internet for my trip to Cambodia a couple of years ago. Not only has Kenneth been there but he has some amazing images from the Angkor temples. As I revisit his galleries, he continues to inspire me to travel more and keep shooting. He has a lot of my top ten locations already covered – I’m so jealous. So anyway, if you are in need of a little fuel for your landscape work, please spend some quality time browsing through his galleries. You won’t be disappointed.
