There is something hauntingly beautiful about abandoned buildings. Maybe it has something to do with the history held within their walls. Maybe it’s the peacefulness of a building that has succumbed to time and the elements, long deserted by it’s previous occupants. Well, apparently I’m not alone in my enjoyment of these monuments to times gone by. There seems to be a fairly large contingent of people who take it upon themselves to document the decay of a generation of buildings gone by. Heck, even Joe McNally spent a week photographing Ellis Island in all its abandoned glory. Here’s a few images from time I spent in one such place.
