I’m sitting here in the Red Carpet Club in Frankfurt, Germany waiting out our long lay-over for my final flight home. We left Dubai at 1:30 this morning and I should get back to the States around 2:30 this afternoon. The nice part of the lay-over is that it is giving me time to sort through some of the images I shot yesterday. We had a pretty full day of shooting that included desert dunes, camels, a mosque, and a mad-cap trip back to the Burj Al Arab so Scott could get his sunset shot with the right lens. There’s a story about that but I’ll let you go to his blog to read all about it. It should be posted a couple of hours from now (you can get to Scott’s blog by clicking here).
It’s hard to believe that our trip is over so soon. I thoroughly enjoyed Dubai and wish that I had more time to discover the rest of the Emerites. I would love to go back in five years or so and see the completed construction projects that are transforming the city in to a metropolis that is uneaqualed the world over. I remain completely impressed with the planning and development of a city that, just 15 years ago, had only a couple of roads and a handfull of highrise buildings.
