Today is the big day. I have packed all my gear and a few changes of clothing and I am off for my little photo adventure to Dubai. Scott and his brother are catching a flight up from Tampa and we are hooking up at Dulles for our first leg to Frankfurt. Then, after a short 7 hour layover, we take the short 6 hour flight straight to Dubai. It might sound like a long journey but when you consider the payoff, it is so very worth it. At the very least, it’s 3 less flights than it took me to get to Cambodia. Of course Scott has to do a little teaching thing for Adobe at the Middle East Design Conference but for most of the trip it’s going to be nothing but shoot, shoot, eat, shoot, and maybe just a little bit of sleep. The fact that I get to share this adventure with Scott and his terrific brother Jeff just makes it all the better.
I will be searching out wi-fi connections or Internet Cafes along the way so that I can do some daily uploading and share some of the sites and experiences with you. It’s about an 8 hour time difference (Eastern Time) so I can’t be sure when I will be adding new posts but I will try to keep them coming at regular intervals.
Have a great week and do yourself a favor, take your camera for a walk. It needs the exercise.
* Hi Mike and Don, see you next week.

Alright then, we’ll try to hold the fort down for you while you’re gone. Did you pack your sunscreen? I here it’s always hot and sunny. Of course I hear they do have air conditioning over there. But I wonder… do they have pie?

ps: yea, I just couldn’t let the whole pie thing die.
