Panorama shots are very cool and like most things that are cool I usually forget to shoot them when I am on location.  I usually get caught up in the moment and just start clicking away without thought to shooting some overlaping images for later.  Well, if you are shooting with a wide angle lens, you can still get those great pano shots later on.  Here are some shots that I have taken with a wide angle lens that really didn’t look great.  Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t bad, but you know what?  They look better as panos.  Take a look at a few full frame shots that have been resurrected as panos.

Once you have found the right image for your pano and made your crop, try finishing it off with a mat and some nice gallery text.  It really brings everything together.

So go ahead, grab your crop tool, and make a few “fake” panos, who’s gonna know ;-)

    Great tip Jeff.
This also helps when things are moving in the frame and would either mess up the alignment or the final result.
    Nice photos!
