Washington DC Photowalk - March 8, 2008

T-Minus 5 days and counting for the photowalk. So here is a little updated info for those of you that are planning on coming out. The extended weather forecasts have the weather being slightly below normal for this time of year. Right now the forecast is for 48° and partly sunny. So unless you are coming from Florida, this will just feel like another good old Spring day in DC. Another bit of news that was passed along to me by Ina Bechhoefer who lives near Adams Morgan. She wrote in to tell me that a new shopping mall is slated to open on the 8th a few blocks from our walk. Actually, looking at a map, it is 7 or 8 blocks so hopefully this will not effect us but it might make parking more difficult. Just one more reason to ride the Metro that day. My hope is that the mall opening will pull some of the crowd out of Adams Morgan to allow more room for us. I haven’t been able to get an accurate headcount but there could possibly be anywhere from 40 to 100 people at this walk. How fun is that? Well, that’s all the news on the walk for now. I’ll post at least once more prior to the walk so keep checking back.

So my final coup for this photowalk is to get a shop in Adams Morgan to have a showing of some of the images from the photowalk. I haven’t started working on this yet but how cool would that be?

The weather report is a disaster and this is not an area I wish to go to in the pouring rain. Ususlly I do not use this as an excuse and have gotten some good shots in foggy/rainy situations but it the report does not change I will not be coming.
