Photowalking in Orlando for Photoshop World

I am currently considering a Photowalk in Orlando the day before Photoshop World officially kicks off. I am thinking of the Lake Eola/Church St. Station area. This would take place on the 1st of April, the same day as the Pre-Conference classes. So if you are planning on coming to Orlando for Photoshop World and are interested in a short 2 hour or so photowalk, drop me an email or comment and let me know. If I get enough interest then I will go ahead and formalize the plans. You can consider this a FREE pre-con event (you would have to provide your own transportation but it’s not too far from the convention center).

    I’ve heard so much about your walks and that it would be fun to participate. I know it’s in the planning stages, but I arrive by plane in Orlando around noon so by the time I get my baggage and car rental it will surely be around 2 o’clock I’ll arrive at the convention center. So what time will the walk start?

    Harold, It probably wouldn’t happen until later in the afternoon. I will also be coming in to town that day and I don’t want to have to take the crack of dawn flight. If this gets off the ground I will be sure to let you know what time frame we will be looking at.

    I so enjoyed the Adams-Morgan walk but I have already signed up for the the Moose Peterson/Joe Mcnally 8-9 hour photoshoot that day. Hope I run into you during the week.

    I’m already locked in to Photoshop World but hopefully I’ll have a photowalk organized for late April.

    Ina, have fun with Joe and Moose. I’m guessing you might get just a little more from their shoot. Knowing Joe and Moose, you will love every second of it. See you at the conference.

    About the best shot you can get of the Orlando cityscape is from Eola, There is a deck around back of the lake where you can frame the fountain and the few buildings in the downtown area. The local camera shop is Colonial Photo and Hobby – Its very close to where your planning the walk. Too bad the timing was not right, I am flying to Orlando today for the week. I am trying to remember a pie shop for that Mike Myer fella, worst case hit micky D and get him a hot pie for each pocket, I think the are 2 for 1$.

    Fortunately I won’t have to find any pie on this walk since Mike is going to the Vegas Photoshop World in September. As for the location, Scott picked it out for me since he used to live in Orlando. I have seen some pictures and I agree with you that the best cityscapes seem to come from the Lake Eola area. Sorry you can’t be there, maybe next time.
