It’s Friday (just in case you didn’t already know that)
Posted by jeff in Uncategorized, tags: Camera, Google, Nokia, Photo, RSS- I don’t have any photos to post for today which means I haven’t shot anything lately. How sad is that? What I have done recently is found some really great blogs to add to my Google Reader page. One of my new reads is a blog called “A Photo Editor”. The writer of the blog is an anonymous photo editor for a major publication. His insights into the world of the commercial pro shooter are both revealing and enlightening. If you are looking to break into the world of commercial shooting and want the skinny on what it takes to score that big magazine spread, you have to check out his site. He has also created a great new feature on his page where readers can submit a story or their website or a photograph and let their peers vote and add a comment. He is calling it PhotoRank and it looks like a great new feature. So if you have some time to kill, go check out his site, you’ll be adding it to your RSS reader too. You can find his site right here.
- And here’s one from the “What will they think of next” file. Yesterday Nokia launched their new N82 phone. The N82 is a traditional candybar form-factor phone and has a five megapixel camera with Xenon flash and auto-focus Carl Zeiss lens, quad-band GSM (doesn’t say whether it’ll be GRPS or EDGE, but we’re guessing EDGE), 2100MHz HSDPA, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, integrated GPS, FM tuner, and a microSD memory card slot. I’m not sure what this puppy costs but it’s fun to watch everyone try to out-feature the iPhone. The phone is not currently available in the states but I am guessing it won’t be long before it makes it’s way to our shores.
That’s all for this week. Now go grab your camera phone and get clicking. See you next week.
